Samantha Keon

Documentary Editor & Filmmaker

Since transitioning from international development and charity in 2017, I have assisted and edited documentaries that have been screened at festivals worldwide, aired on Spanish television, and broadcast across global streaming platforms. In 2022, I was later selected for a prestigious editors' scheme with Netflix and the Grierson Trust. This experience led to opportunities on high-profile productions. Since then, I have worked on Emmy and Broadcast Award–winning feature documentaries and remain focused on creating impactful, globally resonant storytelling.

  • "Samantha is hardworking, patient, discreet but most importantly very talented. In our time working together she’s been able to multitask at all times. Our project was archive intensive and throughout Samantha remained highly organised and calm under pressure. Samantha handled her responsibilities as an assistant editor while also taking on creative tasks to help craft the edit, even attacking the opening sequence of our documentary. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for future projects."

    Sam Santana

Editor of Buy Now: The Shopping Conspiracy and Grenfell: Uncovered.

  • "Samantha has worked with Devex on several projects as a freelance editor. She is extremely professional, well organized, meets all deadlines and has a great eye for detail and video storytelling in general. I would highly recommend working with her."

  • "I had the pleasure of working with Samantha when she co-directed a series of documentaries with me, here in Barcelona from 2017 - 2018. Samantha is a truly talented and innovative professional, with a work ethic and creativity that will see her strive in the industry. Since starting out as a freelancer, I've also had the chance to witness her work and she continues to make a significant impact in both documentary, and ethical commercial filmmaking. I can't recommend Samantha highly enough for any audiovisual challenge that you might face."

  • "Working with Samantha was effortless - she seamlessly and professionally took a vision and produced a film that so wonderfully captured the heart of Yoga Quota. We would work with her again in a heartbeat, and can only praise her eye and careful attention to detail."

  • "Samantha is extremely talented, creative, and hard-working - definitely an asset on any team. We worked together on the short film 'Casas sin familias' and she always had an incredible eye for detail and gave invaluable input that made our project all the better. Samantha is also a very skilled camera operator. When it came to our project, she had a knack for finding the best shots in challenging conditions and seamlessly weaving them into the story we were telling."
